Animation Society

Well, we all know about Nick Parks new 30 min Wallace & Gromit short ‘trouble at’ mill’, but there are other projects going on at Aardman too!

Theres going to be ‘Operation Rudolph’ from the guy who wrote Borat, ‘The Cat Burglars’ directed by Steve Box, which has been quoted as being a “family friendly Tarantino” and Peter Lord is adapting a series of books by Gideon Defoe called ‘Pirates!’

I guess they are all going to be developed for the good old tellybox,  so we wil get some quality viewing for a change!

Who else is sick of Big Brother..? grr

I’ve just read that Tim Burton is going to direct and produce a new version of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. It is said to be a mixture of live action and motion capture. He also has another film project this year, he’s producing a film called ‘9′, done entirely in stop frame, with Elija Wood as the main voice part. It’s based on an award winning short by Shane Acker about a rag doll who fights a monster that has stolen peoples souls.
They have started to film for Alice in Wonderland, and 9 is due for release ‘late 2008′.

Also, Sweeney Todd is out now, anyone seen it yet?
